My new PO is inside an off licence so very flexible openings. Mil is very stroppy today, so the sooner she gets to sleep the better for her health and ours

good morning! Made tea and coffee and am in the process of making bread. So far all is quiet here. Outside it is a bit colder I think - the heating is running. I am planning a lazy day, but only time will tell if it will materialize. Have a pleasant day

Morning all - after another night of high winds and driving rain I'm not feeling very bright eyed and bushy-tailed.

More tea is called for before I pop round to the estate shop for the Old Sailor's last minute groceries

Don't feel very Christmassy at all but we have had two mystery parcels delivered that we can't open until tomorrow ..........

    Have all a good day.

Morning all, Got soaked taking the dog this morning, was really windy.

Apparrantly some of the Christmas trees that are on houses in the high street have been blown down with the gusty wind.

Well its time to start sorting what we are cooking here to take for tomorrow,

Will be intersting how busy the shops are today as someone said they are only closed one day.

Mike has been dispatched to the PO and ASDA of course, i am just finishing a bit of knitting off and then we are going to have hot potato cakes and make some mince pies and sausage rolls, should do a cake as well but don't know if i can manage it all as i have hurt my hands knitting too much yesterday. The suns out now after a windy wet night. Not a bit like Christmas.

Grrrrr useless sorting office. I walked over two miles to go and pick up the 'special' delivery yesterday afternoon and was told that the postman wasn't back as it wasn't logged back in. I asked if I could get it redelivered today and was told I had to phone or arrange online. I said that was useless as it took them two days to arrange a date which would be too late. I was then told that they weren't allowed to do it from the sorting office !
O/H went down this morning trying to find a parking space etc, wasting 30 - 40 minutes doing so, and was told the parcel still hadn't been logged back in and the postman must still have it in his van from yesterday !

Just got it at last. At least I had an apology (and my usual postie that brought it in the end is really handsome
    !!!) so moan over !

We were meant to be going to the neighbours this evening but O/H, bless him, saw them yesterday and said to them it would be easier if they came to us. Easier for who ? Maybe the Old Soldier but not for me ! So I will have to dash to the shops to get some more stuff in as they are bringing their three children. O/H said "oh it's no problem, just put out some crisps", does the word Scrooge come to mind ?!

Hope everybody else is organised for tomorrow.
