Thread: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!

My mum used to make us do that with Vics as well when we had a bad cold Private Buttons.

Sunshine here today which makes a nice change. The postman rang the bell when I was in the bath this morning and I ignored it as I thought he would leave what ever it was in my green bin or with the neighbour but it was a bloomin' special delivery so he went and took it back to the sorting office which is right over the other side of town with nowhere to park.

Tut, I got hit again yesterday, those newbies must be very optimistic about Royal Mail, I thought I would be safe by now ! ... Shakes head in despair !

Went bowling with the family yesterday evening and at least I didn't come last this time like I usually do !!! I came forth both times, beat Cadet Malcolm's girlfriend on the first game and Cadet Huw on the second.

as well as vick getting slapped on your chest and a moustache of it under your nose, my mum would pour mustard powder into a nylon stocking and tie it around your neck for sore throats.

Well i didn't stop Mike from going shopping, I give up, we have a turkey crown, a gammon joint and he is now on the lookout for a leg of Lamb, fridge is full of veg all wrapped in kitchen roll to keep it longer, spuds are overflowing in the rack all for two people, going a bit over the top.

I still use Vick when I have a cold, or Tiger Balm if it is handy. I must apologize for not reporting earlier, but this cough had me wandering around the house till after 1 am, and up again at 5, so I have not been quite myself. Managed to do the shopping, had a look at a new car (we are thinking about it. Ours was bought in 2002) and had lunch. Now I am ready for a little sleep. So will be back later

I am not surprised: lots of veg are drastically reduced

Afternoon - been a busy day so far as himself is at home so we did the veg shopping - but not in town. Went out to Montgomery to the market there - no rush or hassle. Then onto Sidoli's ice-cream factory shop in Welshpool for some frozen desserts. Came out with a New York Cheesecake for 8-10; individual Apple & Blackberry Crumbles x 8 and individual Treacle Puddings x 12. On way back filled up with petrol, got some cash, popped into Lidl's for a few bits and then home for a coffee - and all this before 10am!

Needless to say the freezer is now full and I'm half asleep !

He came back without the leg of Lamb thank fully, but did buy some lamb chops for tonight.
Why is it when you get new wool or craft stuff you are in it straight away instead of using up other stuff first, had some new wool this lunch time and I have half done a Tilda dolls cardigan.

Had to go to the PO this afternoon .... the bus was 20 minutes late.
Seemingly Dundee is blocked all over and even Monifieth and especially Tesco is blocked. Sounds ghastly.

The PO is inside a little Spar .. bought bread and milk and potatoes and a few other bits and bobs and am now ready.
... I am not going out tomorrow
