My idiot has now broken his hearing aid........... be careful what you say about this, it was not done on purpose, NHS said a month for an appointment. I am on hair cutting and leg duty tonight and off we all go to the dentists tomorrow

Not a good day as it turns out - my lovely father-in-law was admitted to the Shropshire Hospice in Telford earlier today - he has bone cancer amongst other ailments and is now on morphine

David and I were reminiscing tonight over dinner about his father - how he welcomed me with open arms on my 1st visit to Shrewsbury back in 1974 as I was the 1st English girl that David had taken home since he moved to London the year before. And the joy he took in taking his grandchildren out for bike rides on his tandem around Telford - the list is endless ....................

Only time will tell now .............

Believe me, it was a blessed release. David's over with his mother and sisters - his brother is back in Afghanistan but will be coming home - as are my two sons ....................despite being told by their grandmother years ago not to waste their money on flying home just to attend a funeral !

Haven't been able to sleep so now drinking my umpteenth mug of tea and thinking I'd better have some toast as feeling a bit light headed.
