Good morning! The wind has started up again. Our recycling boxes should have gone out last night, but we are taking a chance and putting them out this morning. I just didn't fancy having my rubbish blown all around the street. I still haven't packed. It' just so hard to decide what is essential. I really must find the list I made of the things that are already there. Off to the canteen shortly to make the tea and coffee and clean my new desk chair I bought on-line and OH kindly collected it last night. I will try and drop in tonight when I am back from London

Cats I have the care manager assesment on Wednesday. I always get myself worked up about these things but at least our area seems better than where Buttons is.
It is very windy here too again although the temperature on my phone says it is 7 degrees. Feels more like -2 out there.

Morning - gale force winds and driving rain again out there. And, if I can manage it, I have to go into town - sometime - to the Surgery and PO.

No lost listings to report, and added a few new ones yesterday. The new printer is behaving itself and talking to my PC and his laptop.

So we now have two redundant, but in full working order, printers - Freecycle may be busy before long

It's a good job you are going tomorrow and not Friday Private Meebo. O/H says there is a really big storm coming in on Thursday night !



Grrrrr got up early as the Old Soldier had said he wanted a shower and found him dressed again ! He keeps doing that, it's really annoying. He writes it in his diary the night before to remind him and then forgets to look at the diary !!!

Here its very windy but no rain yet though they are forecasting it. but at the moment clouds moving to fast so hope they stay like it,

Hope the assesments go okay in Scotland, as you say poor Buttons your area is very bad,

Heard today from a friend whose husband they are trying to bring home so have said a hospital type bed & careers twice a day, but they won't be able to lift his legs for him they can sit him into the chair & on the bed, the problem is he has been in bed so long that he cant use his legs. so his wife who has ill health anyway is now worried sick Seems so stupid.

We had to get up at 5 am as the smoke alarms were going off on the top floor, I don't know what is going on up there but I have a feeling we have roof tiles off again as it was blowing a gale inside the house, we have had a new roof, double glazing and the house is not colder and draughtier that it has ever been before, the bathroom is unusable, we are now going to walk round the back of the houses to see what if anything has gone on.

Just got back from the PO; gave up on the Surgery as nowhere to park - as usual. (On street parking only - so always full.)

Managed to find a break in the rain and it wasn't too bad - now tipping down again

we have been and checked the roof and it's still in tact so I have no idea were the wind is coming from that is getting in the house or why it set the smoke alarm off, can wind set them off does anyone know?.,no losses to report but my finger slipped twice over the weekend and i seem to have a parcel or two on the way.
