I never thought of using the steamer to defrost anything. I would be worried about damaging something
I have used mine for this purpose for years (used to do the fridges as well lol). I got fed up with using bowls of boiling water.
I use it like a hairdryer so not actually touching anything but boy does it melt the ice. I think it is not recommended by the manufacturer but I have never had any problems ... and it really does cut down on melting time.

I just might give it a try soon
I'll have to try that too. Can't get the top freezer drawer open and don't remember what is in there

Good morning. It appears to be warmer outside and currently not raining. Hope for the same where you are. Have I any plans for today? I think I will just go with the flow. Maybe even list those books on the floor before the pile topples over. Dentist yesterday wasn't too bad - I just need a small filling. Appointment is next month. I left tea and coffee in the canteen. I really must make an effort for a more interesting breakfast. A houseful of visitors might give me the inclination to make some muffins or waffles. It just doesn't seem worth the effort for the 2 of us. I did my tick nicking early, so I just might have a few items to pay for when the 28th comes
