I had images of you welding extra bits on your gate! Good luck on your hall carpet.
At waterside we bought a new carpet as there were holes on the one down on the edge of the treads. It lay rolled up up the stairs for 5 years as to have it laid we would need to have had the stair lift taken out, then put back in again and we couldn't afford it. Also it would have meant that Pete was stuck up stairs for 3 days

Penni, we beat you on the 5 years we are now between 8 and 9 years having it rolled up, the reason our hasn't got down is between me being ill and in bed for a lot of the time and needing the landing and stairs decorated, now we have someone willing to help us, it will be nice to get the settee back up to the wall when we put the carpet down

Trust everyone slept well as I didn't again - think my brain is working overtime on what needs to be done/packed etc. before our little trip.

Last trip to the PO today as put up my Holiday Notice last night - so will tidy my office today as I've lost the mouse to my old XP computer that still hasn't been disconnected. It can't be far away but need to check something on the PC.

But first another big mug of tea.

OMG I ache all over. I spent hours last night defrosting and digging ice out of my freezer, not exactly my idea of a good Friday night !

Did you manage to get the steri strips on Private Buttons ? Probably best to get Mike to give you a hand to get them tight enough. It's a bit had to do one handed !

Private Wicca you accepted MAO's ?! You know the air would be blue if they tried that with me ! I'll wait until your elbow is better before dishing out the potato peeler 'cause I'm generous like that.

Have a great time on your leave Private Mcc2 you deserve it.

Private Meebo what are you playing at taking your defences down ?! You are meant to be much too busy recruiting in the bierkellers !!!

I tried one sarge and it was a bit of a disaster as where it is in the crease of my finger it won't hold it tight, as soon as i bent and straightened it again it worked loose, it's a pain in the neck

You might just need to put a brace of some sort on your finger....like a popsicle stick, and then wrap it with steri strips to keep your finger from bending until it starts to heal. Shouldn't be too long if you give it a chance.
    Ta-Ta for now!
