It's gone from being a lovely day to almost blowing a gale within the last hour and now starting to rain, Mike is just going to do his great escape and go to Asda before it gets any worse, so won't see him for a couple of hours now unless he gets blown away.

Just dragged the Christmas tree into the quarters. Thought I had better make the effort to make it look a bit festive as have brother-in-law and wife coming for lunch tomorrow. Got the Christmas cake iced and one batch of mince pies made which I've frozen so feeling a bit more organised now. Just a few more presents to get and the Christmas dinner to sort and I think I've cracked it - then I can start panicking about cooking for all those people at new year !!!



Now I am not a happy bunny - can you guess why ?! Far too much partying going on (why am I not invited ?!!!) and not enough recruitment !

Yes, 10 days to christmas and he starts to strip the wallpaper off the morning room ( thats what they called it when we bought the house, it's now a dump with French windows), he has now finished replacing the damaged blocks in the parquet floor and toots the cocky is now living in there and as he chooses to spit and kick seeds about instead of eating them, we also have a skating ring.

what a beautiful morning sunrise through trees photo. We used to get views like that at our old house.
The wind is up and i'm worried about the scaffolding all around the house. we've only got half a roof as they stripped all the slates off during the week and managed to put one row back on yesterday. Im sure they will have all blown off again before they come back on monday. So cold im sitting in bed with the covers pulled up around me. The puppy id too scared to go out back on her own because there have been workies coming and going all week and i went out in just a tshirt and she took ages to do her business so im frozen

Was waiting for Mike to get blown away in the wind like Mary popping upwards, mind you I think if he went out now I would have to tie him down, wind is now at 45 mph gusting here and raining.

Wet and windy here, satellite dish for Freesat is not getting any signal due to the weather..
Will have to watch X-factor on my PC instead if the wind keeps up.
