Good morning I know it is early but OH is driving daughter to Stansted airport allowing lots of time for the traffic build up. If they are lucky they will make it in 2 hours. The return will definitely take longer. As I had to make tea and coffee early I put both into flasks to keep hot for later. Feel free to help yourself. I had typed a nice long piece here a few minutes ago and the pressed the wrong button and all was gone. Ah well, that's life. I think when the carer has been I will go back to bed and sleep, hopefully undisturbed.

Morning all, am afraid somers cold has got worse so he's taken himself back to bed, think the problem is that he aches anyway & this is making him worse so he's does up.

Done the housework that was desperate to be done & now can get cards ready to scan before it'll be time to think of a 2nd dog walk here its quiet miserable & dull & keeps trying to rain,

Sorry Somer is feeling icky - hope his cold runs its course quickly. It's cloudy and chilly here today, too. I think weather forecasters are right about the cold coming. And my girls in CO said they got snow yesterday, with more on the way, and temps of down to 10*F. Brrrrr.

Off to pull the laundry out of the washing machine. Dryer is broken, so have been laying wet things all over the house. Just hope we don't get drop by company, as I put OH's undies all over the living room. Who says I don't have a flair with interior decorating?

My living room has a very similar appearance. Although dryer is working there are a number of things I don't like to put in there. I have tried to go back to sleep, but have given up now. Maybe after lunch I will be more successful

I am too mean to use the dryer it cost about the same to run the heating so two for the price of one, I get to get warm and the washing gets dry, I doubt very much that anyone will come to visit, one of Mikes sons lives too far away to call round and the other one is not welcome here at all, my friend is ruled by the wind and has been here once in three years, and my family if you can call them that are all in Canada. So life is pretty peaceful here

It took me awhile after I got to the UK to realize what people meant by the word MEAN. It didn't seem to make sense to me, as it was clear people used it differently than we do in the states to indicate.............cranky, unkind, etc. lol
