Rare and very collectable 18th Century Antique Early George III Sterling Solid Silver Basting, Gravy or Hash Spoon, Fully Hallmarked For London 1795, making this a 227 Year old Antique Treasure.
Fully hallmarked for RICHARD CROSSLEY who was registered in London between 1782 and 1813,he passed away in 1815.
The Basting Spoon is 29cm/11.5 inches Long, and weighs 88gms, it is of the Old English pattern, it is mongrammed to the handle very ornately with the letters JEG I believe but please look at the pictures and try to decipher it for yourself although the spoon is big it has a very elegant feel to it.

The Hallmarks and makers marks are clearly struck and the spoon is made of a good gauge of silver.
The condition is good Antique condition for a spoon that is 227 years old, little wear to the tip of the bowl, a small dink in the bowl no dents or repairs, surface scratches commensurate with age.
