Rare and very collectable Antique,18th Century Early George III Sterling Solid Silver Basting, Gravy or Hash Spoon, Fully Hallmarked For London 1797, making this a 226 Year old Antique Treasure.
Fully hallmarked for RICHARD CROSSLEY of London with rubbed makers Hallmarks that can still be made out..
The Basting Spoon is 30.5cm/12 inches Long, and weighs a very nice 108gms, it is of the Old English Pattern, it is monogrammed to the handle with the letter G.C. in script, please look at the pictures, although the spoon is big it has a very elegant feel to it.
The condition is good Antique condition for a spoon that is 226 years old it has very little wear to the tip of the bowl, no dents or repairs, surface scratches commensurate with age.
