Sandra Fletcher

Sandra Fletcher works chiefly in watercolour and pastels, enjoying the immediacy of these two very different materials. In watercolour, her main subject is the human figure which she uses as a starting point to explore the medium’s unique qualities. Her paintings have a quiet intimacy and subdued colours express subtle effects of light.

Sandra studied fine art at Wimbledon School of Art and West Surrey College of Art and Design, and has taught painting and drawing techniques in adult education classes. She has exhibited with the Royal Society of British Artists at the Mall Galleries, London and regularly has work accepted by Chelsea Art Society and the Society of Women Artists and won the Best Non-Figure Work award at the Hesketh Hubbard annual exhibition 2002.

Sandra has work in private collections around the world and has been featured in International Artist and Pastel artist international magazines. She is a member of the Hesketh Hubbard Art Society, the Sussex County Arts Club and the Society of Eastbourne Artists.
