Hi, I'm Helen and I started to make and sell jewellery at the age of fifteen. Jewellery makng became my business in my thirties but I realised that computers would make huge changes to design and manufacturing and quit my business at the beginning of the 1990's to learn about this. The day the first ever web page appeared (in 1992) I was at university and we all rushed in to have a look. Little did we know then how soon images, video etc. would soon follow the first text-only pages.
I didn't make jewellery for a long time after university as I was busy with other things. However, my friend Ruth started making silver jewellery for family and friends over the last few years and this has prompted me to start again with her as my business partner in Mufti Creations - the designer side of the business. Charming Things is the artisan part of the business which only involves me.
Do get in touch if you are after something particular - customer requests are more than welcome and have indeed led to us developing new ideas; so don't be shy about asking. The worst that can happen is that we say "Sorry, we can't do that at the moment" - customers drive our business and your input is important to our development.
