Let me introduce myself, my name is Martin and my hobby is woodwork, a serious hobby that I have developed and mastered since April 2007. Originally the hobby started as an interest and a frustration that quality wooden goods were increasingly hard to come by with mass produced wooden ‘effect’ goods. Soon I found myself absorbed by what I could make. I created things for friends and family. They were impressed by my designs and the quality and care I put into the creations. Since then I decided that I want to bring my work to a wider audience and so created this website where you can buy quality goods. I was born in Cambridge where I stayed for about 18 months, so my Mother tells me, and in my infant years I lived in Wheathampstead nr St Albans till I was 7 Years of age, my dad then got a job in South Leicestershire where I have been ever since. I started my working life in 1974 at a small engineering firm and always used my hands as a Fabricator/Welder until 1997 when I changed to working in the food industry. Since then I came to miss being creative and making stuff using my hands. I have always wanted to do a bit of woodwork but never seemed to have the time when the children were younger but now they are grown up it seemed the right time.
