About Me
I have been collecting stamps of all countries but specifically British Commonwealth, USA, And Western Europe for over 40 years.
Now I have retired I have decided to slim down my holding and concentrate on GB Machins (1971 to Date) with extra diligence on Security issues (2009-date).
Due to Stanley Gibbons forever changing numbers I have even created my own simple numbering system for Security Issues, although I am a big fan of Deegam as well.
Anyway, I intend to clear some of the items from countries I no longer collect alongside the duplicates that I have amassed from my Machin collection.
These will be mostly Mint Never Hinged (MNH), but I have a plethora of Fine/Very Fine Used (F/VFU) as well and I will load the better of these as time permits.
I actually run my own website but the general upkeep of this is very time-consuming so I want to see if using e-Bid can reduce my "time of sale"
Any questions can be directed to me at .
Delivery Charges
Selling to UK customers makes deliveries that much easier and I will send items totalling over £10 post-free within the UK. Under £10 it will be £1.00 (no matter how many items you purchase). There would be an additional cost if you require any of the Signed For delivery options.
I understand that my low prices on non-GB issues may attract foreign buyers and I welcome that but I am afraid I must charge the appropriate postage cost, which could turn out to be expensive, so I always advise non-UK residents to shop closer to home before using my shop.
As an example, the basic cost to send to World Zone 1 (inc Europe) is £2.75. To World Zone 2 (e.g. North America and Oceania) it is £3.75. Both these costs can increase significantly if you need to use "Signed For" delivery.
Payments
I prefer NOT to use PayPal as (in my opinion) their charges are exorbitant and their customer service is negligible (at best).
If at all possible I would prefer a Bank-to-Bank online transaction but I am still old-world enough to accept cheques and postal orders although the former may slow down delivery whilst awaiting clearance.
Longer-term, I am going to check out alternatives to PayPal, for those who prefer that type of platform, maybe going forward I will take a look at Apple Pay or Samsung Pay as possibilities.
