Some Information About smudgie_and_moo
Over the years we have been asked this question many times…
The word ‘Smoo’ derives from our nicknames Smudgie and Moo. We felt it was cryptic enough to
pique people’s interest and it has gone from the pet name of our car to the identity of our
companies.
Shop Smoo is our main online auction business and you can find us on most of the popular ones
under smudgie_and_moo. We also run our own business which provides copywriting for websites,
articles, guides, ebooks, product reviews, publishes our own ebooks as well as articles via
LuLu and Constant Content.
The aim of all our ventures is to not only offer top-quality items at reasonable prices but also
top-class customer service, whether that is a question regarding postage or a query about non
delivery of items. All customers are treated the same - prompt, polite and courteous. We think
treating others as we would wish to be treated is just as important as getting our prices right,
and we feel this is reflected in the feedback we have earned (13,700+ on another well known
auction site).
All we ask is that if you have any problems with your purchase to contact us at your earliest
convenience so we can come to a satisfactory conclusion before leaving feedback as problems
do arise from time to time.
Returns Policy
You can buy with complete confidence - check out our feedback.
If you're not completely satisfied, simply return the item (at your own expense) - unused and in
its original packaging - to us within 14 days of receipt for a refund (excluding P&P). In the unlikely
event that you do need to return an item please contact us before doing so. If your item is faulty
please contact us to arrange a replacement.
And remember, if you have any problems or questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.
We are here to help.
Safety Centre
All products placed on the market must be safe for their intended and expected use. Toys must comply with the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2006, which implement the European Toys Safety Directive.
Whenever you see this symbol on our listings this means the item is not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
To ensure safe use, toys must carry appropriate warnings and instructions. These may often include the "0-3" warning symbol above indicating that the toy to which it is attached is not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
This is the equivalent of the text warning "Not suitable for children under 36 months", which remains in general use for such toys. The intention of the symbol is to eventually replace the text warning, particularly where the warning appears in multiple languages.
Parents and guardians are advised to take heed of this warning when selecting or allowing their children to play with toys.
All toys must be accompanied by the CE mark. The CE mark was introduced to provide free movement of goods between member states of the European Union and is used by a number of New Approach Directives, not just for toys. It will also be found on electrical and medical products.
The mark must also be accompanied by the identifying name and address of the person or company responsible
for first placing the toy on the market. This allows traceability back the responsible party in the event of any
problems being subsequently identified.
