Thanks for visiting our home page at eBid. We are interested in collectibles and memorabilia related to ice skating, hockey, cheerleading and gymnastics. We actively bid on and buy such items to be featured on our ice skating and gymnastics sites and also sell many of these skating, hockey, cheerleading and gymnastics items through eBay and eBid. We have had an active eBay store featuring over 1000 items for several years with the same store ID (sk8usa) and a 99.9% positive feedback rating. eBay's steadily increasing fees have forced us to seek alternative sales outlets and we are delighted to have have found eBid. We will be adding items to our eBid store at the rate of about 100 items a week until we have just as many items available here. Our prices on eBid will be from 5% to 10% lower than on eBay for over 500 to 600 items, as eBid's lower fees will enable us to pass the savings on to the customer.

In 1997 my then 11 year old daughter, Lisa, asked if she could have a home page. A few weeks later as we were designing her 5-page site, Lisa pointed out that we didn't have any ice skating images. After a 40 hour search we found about 25 images on the internet and decided to create a skating clipart page to save other people the same search. Within 6 weeks Lisa's home pages were getting more hits than I was getting on my business site! We knew we were on to something good and decided to add skating accessories to the site to take advantage of the traffic.

In December 1998 we acquired our own domain. Since then the site has grown to include 21 clipart pages, 50 accessories pages, 6 personal pages, 6 links pages and an Ice Skating Associations Directory. Ice Skating Clipart Galore now gets up to 100,000 page hits per month in the Winter months. We launched a new site, Gymnastics Clipart Galore, in May 2002 and it has also grown significantly in the following years.

We moved to Colorado Springs, the Skating Capital of the World in 2002. Lisa trained for several years at the Sertich Ice Arena and the World Arena with several world class coaches. At first the profits made on our skating accessories sales help pay for part of her training. Starting in 2005 we expanded the business to include setting up as vendors at skating competitions. We started out with competitions in Colorado, but have expanded to setting up at competitions in locations ranging from Minnesota in the east to Utah in the west. As the business grew it took on a life of its own and now has become our primary source of income.
