Founded in 1984 by David Pentrack, Precious Metals & Diamond Co. has grown to become one of the biggest retail & wholesale jewelry companies in the tri-state area. Our retail store represents one of the largest jewelry inventories in western PA. Our wholesale division currently services jewelers in over fifteen states. Precious Metals & Diamond Co. is a member of the Jewelers Board of Trade, Jewelers of America, Pennsylvania Jewelers Association and the Ohio Jewelers Association.


Precious Metals & Diamond Company was started with two objectives:

1. Provide the highest quality jewelry possible at the most affordable price.

2. Offer customers fast, friendly and knowledgeable service that they can trust.

Despite our growth, PMDC has strived to maintain these objectives. We pass on our high volume buying power in the form of lower prices for our customers. Our staff always takes the time to answer questions and fulfill special needs whenever possible. The below listed "Conditions of Sale" are the complete and only understanding on which property in any eBid auction is sold.

1. pmdiamond henceforth referred to as: Precious Metals & Diamond Company, PMDC, or pmdiamond.com.

1.1. Limited 30 day guarantee: If a buyer reasonably concludes that property purchased from pmdiamond is materially different from descriptions or conditions provided by pmdiamond. The property may be returned for a refund of the full purchase price minus all shipping costs, and a 10% restocking fee, if pmdiamond is notified within 30 days of the close of sale. Said item must be returned to PMDC within 30 days of notification in the same condition as sold. Under no circumstances will PMDC issue a refund if within 30 days of auction close notification is not received.

1.2. Sales tax and Shipping: Buyer will promptly remit the sales price together with shipping costs, including insurance and applicable sales tax.

1.3. Payments: Acceptable forms of payment are Cash, Bank or Certified Checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express credit cards or Personal Checks. Items paid for by personal checks drawn on a non Pennsylvania bank will not be shipped until the 10th day following receipt of payment. Items paid for by personal checks drawn on a Pennsylvania bank will not be shipped until the 5th day following receipt of payment. Items paid for under all other payment methods will be shipped within 72 hours of receipt. PMDC reserves the right to nullify a sale if payment has not been made within 14days of auction close.

1.4. Appraisals: At the buyer's request, pmdiamond will provide a written insurance appraisal certificate. Said appraisal will represent pmdiamond's estimate of the present retail replacement cost of comparable items, excluding federal and other taxes existing on the day of the appraisal, and is not necessarily the amount that might be obtained if the article were offered for sale. Appraisals are for insurance purposes only, with the understanding that the appraiser assumes no liability with respect to any action on such appraisal. Appraisal prices may differ according to market conditions and individual jeweler markup.

2. Buyers Obligations:
2.1.1. Once a bid is made, buyer may increase but not withdraw bid.
2.1.2. Buyer agrees to pay with good funds within 10 days of close of auction.
2.1.3. Buyer agrees to pay all shipping and insurance costs.
2.1.4. Buyer will promptly advise PMDC of any problems.

3. Miscellaneous:
3.1.1. PMDC will not be responsible for any computer malfunctions, interruptions, viruses or errors.
3.1.2. PMDC's liability will not exceed the purchase price of an item.
3.1.3. PMDC will decide any bidding disputes.
3.1.4. Pennsylvania law will govern all legal matters.
3.1.5. By bidding, buyer agrees to abide by above terms and conditions.
