Some Information About mashamgadgets
Giving you a little more insight into the seller.
Hello! Welcome to my less than exciting world.
My name is Philip, known by many as Phil and there are some old school friends who still call me Cobbler. Don't ask.
I am well advanced in years and live in a beautiful part of the world, Masham in North Yorkshire. Renowned for the two breweries we have (Theakstone and Black Sheep) and is on the edge of Dales. A place awash with character.
I am happily divorced and have two superb daughters who I see regularl;y and they in turn have superb partners and then there is I my only Grandchild (who is on the photo).
What do I do? Well nothing much, as I suffer from Kidney Failure and I am on dialysis three times a week so it really eats rather a large whole in my life. And before any one asks No I will not be getting a transplant as other (medical) reasons mean I am permantly suspended from the treansplant list. Ah Well, could be worse! From time to time my auctiions help me raise money for Kidney Research, please give generously when I do, the Federation has very little money.
I am a child of the fifties and my formative years are heavily influenced by the music of the Sixties and to this day I get really wistful when I hear any of that era's music, especially the Beatles of whom I am STILL an enormous fan. Like a lot of people my age I could drum on for hours about that special time, so I will refrain from boring you, be grateful!
Born and Bred on Tyneside I cannot help but be a Magpies fan but I know that can get folk really gloing so we will leave it at that, eh? I do actually speak to a couple of Black Cat fans, so I do have wide tastes! And I didn't use the word maccom (however you spell it).
THE BUSINESS I AM IN. and RETURNS POLICY / REFUNDS
Mainly I sell houisehold and kitchen ware but not always, I do get some intersting stuff which is non household. I also do sell certain plumbing items, like showers and macerators as when they are available to me. The plumbing stuff is often ex demo items. Unused but the packaging may be a bit tatty so we can move it at a greatly reduced price. All warranties will apply to such products and we offer a no quibble money back deal if an item arrives and is not as described in the listing, damaged in any way or generally not fit for purpose.
PACKAGING AND POST
We use mainly Royal Mail AND I TRY TO MAKE SURE WE GET THE BEST FROM THE 2012 PRICES FOR POST which in my mind are FAR TOO HIGH So where we used to send a single item we now try to make up lots to get the best from the ridiculous new post pricing structure. For heavier and more expensive items we use couriers, currently City Link.
WE ARE PROUD TO SAY THAT WHEREVER WE CAN WE USE RECYCLED PACKAGING
As a general rule we use second class post, I firmly believe that whilst we pay for first class post we never get a first class service, But if the buyer wishes to use first class it is their choice. I also firmly believe that by the end of the decade the post office as we know it will cease to exist. I hope I am wrong.
Well thats enough for now but I may revise this document from time to time.
