Hi. Thanks for looking at my auction. My name is John and I am from Northern Ireland.
Although new to 'Ebid', I have been buying and selling collectables (mainly postcards and other postal items) on ebay for the past 2 years, and have at present a 99.9% positive feedback rating. So what am I doing on 'Ebid' I hear you ask. Two words - "Ebay Fees". Like most people I dont sell at auction to make a fortune, and I dont rely on it to provide me with a full time income. I enjoy doing it and it provides me with a few bob extra to pursue my main vice, football and travel. I, like most people, begrudge paying an unnecessarily high percentage of the little I make over in the form of fees. Yes I will continue to sell on Ebay alongside Ebid until the time when hopefully both are competing on an equal footing.
Whether my auction is on Ebay or Ebid, the same policies will apply. I believe in providing good customer service, with well described items (warts and all if necessary), clear pictures, quick postage, and quick addressing of any problems which may arise. All items will be sent in appropriate packaging to ensure proper protection e.g. card backed envelopes for individual postcards. Discount will be applied to multiple purchases with special offered from time to time.
