In June of 2004, my husband was relocated from Amarillo, Texas to Brooksville, Florida with his company that he has worked for since 1973. WHAT A CULTURE & CLIMATE SHOCK!!!!! I was used to a very dry climate, being around family, friends, grandchildren, & a precious 18 mo. great-grandaughter who lived with us along with her mother, who was our first grandchild. ALONG CAME FLORIDA!! HUMIDITY!!! BUGS!!! HURRICANES!!! DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE!!! WOW!!! WAS I EVER HOMESICK!!!! I was ready to do just what the song "AMARILLO BY MORNING" says!!!!!! We started square dancing again after a 20 year "leave of absence", & I needed some "dancin' duds", because as we all know, we are NOT the same size now as we were 20 years ago!!! There are so few stores to buy them from that I decided to look at online auctions. I bid on several auctions, won a few, got some things that didn't fit, & decided to re-sell them---had GREAT results, so went to my packed away SD clothes & listed them. Sold all of them!!!!! Then I started thinking about other things that might sell. I have used a wonderful line of aloe vera based skin care for over 10 years, ( which has a NON-SURGICAL FACELIFT that has me looking more like 40 than my actual age, 62) & natural mineral makeup made by the same manufacturer for 4 years, & in Texas did a home party plan with it, so decided to start selling some of it. Have had wonderful results there also. I also have a huge overstock of TY BEANIE BABIES from buying for 6 grandchildren & myself. Those little beanbag animals are just so adoreable!!! I got carried away & overbought! I've sold a few of those. Still have many more to sell !!! I am very unhappy with eBay, so now I am trying eBid.
