I love acoustic guitars, I've a small collection from various makers some hand made and some of the bigger makes such as Gibson, all are special to me and all play differently.
I began making guitars about 3 three years ago although my background as a carpenter and joiner for the last 30 years has helped me I have a long way to go.
I started to buy my sitka in billets these are basically logs split into stackable sections so as to make shipping easyer, this way of buying has some pro's and con's, for a start you don't know what your going to get but I guess that's part of the joy, I've had some awfull peices and some wonderfull peices.
