About FYMAC Construction Supplies

FYMAC Construction Supplies is the Ecommerce Division of Fyfe & McGrouther who have been established in Glasgow for over 60 years and carry a full range of products in the Engineering & Construction, Home & Garden, and Outdoor Pursuits & Activities sectors.

All our products are BRAND NEW, are genuine UK market goods, and come with full manufacturers UK warranty.

The internet only shows a small selection of the 10,000 plus product lines carried ex-stock for next working day dispatch and we would welcome the opportunity to quote for your ongoing requirements. Please email with your quote requests/tenders for pricing and availability and/or to apply for credit facilities.

Our hours of business are 08:00-17:00 Mon-Fri, excluding public holidays.

You may still purchase goods when we are closed, but as there will be a backlog when we return, our normal dispatch times may be extended.

 Pricing & Payment

All prices quoted are in UK Pounds Sterling and include VAT at the appropriate rate.
 
Payment is required within seven days and please remember to include any additional required information like size, colour, voltage, etc.

Payment can be made by the following methods:

Paypal: Payment to . Goods will only be sent to the delivery address received via Paypal. Addresses via the notes section or by separate email are not acceptable and will be ignored. We also reserve the right to refund payment from new users and ask that payment be made by another method.

Credit / Debit Card: Email your card details to

Cheque / Postal Order: Make payable to FYMAC Construction Supplies and post to 225 Kennedy Street, Glasgow, G4 0BS, United Kingdom.

Bank transfer: We only accept bank transfers on orders over £500.00 and will provide our IBAN and Swift Number upon request.

International buyers are responsible for any additional taxes and/or fees payable for receiving the goods into their country.

Trading Terms

We do not accept unsolicited offers to end auctions early, and they will be deleted without reply. Most of our auctions have a corresponding Buy It Now listing where we have more than one to sell and these are our immediate sell prices.

We endevour to hold sufficient stock to meet all orders but occasionally we may have a run on stock. In these circumstances your delivery may be delayed until more stock is received or may be made direct from the manufacturer. You will always be advised of any delay and given the option of cancelling your order.

Whilst every care is taken when creating listings, we reserve the right not to sell the goods where the price has been set up incorrectly at a price we cannot afford to sell at. We will contact you and offer our best price in the hope that this is acceptable.

We will also accept returns without question for a full refund where there was an error in the description of the goods.

Delivery & Shipping

If you have any special requirements, please email  before bidding as they almost always cost extra and will be ignored if not agreed beforehand.

Goods should normally be delivered within 3-5 working days after dispatch and may require a signature. Please allow 10 working days and check with your local delivery office to see if they are holding your package before making a claim for non-delivery.

You will always receive an email when your goods are dispatched  and you may also receive an email from the carrier with tracking details, so please ensure that these are not treated as spam/junk by your email program.

Please inspect before signing for delivery and mark on the carriers documentation the state of the packaging as a signature only implies received in good condition. You cannot then claim for receiving damaged in transit.

If goods are returned due to non-delivery, a second delivery charge will be applicable and must be paid before the goods are re-dispatched.

Stated postage is a flat rate for a parcel weighing up to 30kg including packaging and further items added to your order will be eligible for FREE OF CHARGE postage up to this weight within size limitations. This will only apply where you wait for a combined invoice before making payment or amend postage whilst making a single payment. Refunds will not be given.

Returns & Non-Delivery

Please email us at  providing your name, the goods being claimed for, the reason for the claim, and any other pertinent information. If goods are being returned, please remember to include paperwork and ensure that the goods are packaged securely.

  • Damaged / Faulty / Wrong Goods
Replacment goods are normally dispatched the following day after the goods are received and inspected.

Please advise where the goods should be uplifted from, a suitable day for uplift, and a contact telephone number. Please note that we cannot arrange timed uplifts.

For lighter items, we may ask you to return by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and advise us of the postage cost which will be refunded in full.
  • Non Damaged Goods
In the unlikely event you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, it may be returned within 14 days providing it is returned complete, unused, and unopened in original packaging for a full refund less postage. A restocking fee of 20% may be incurred if the goods have been opened or are not in fully resaleable condition.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods are returned safely at your own expense. Please use a reputable carrier obtaining a proof of delivery and ensure that the goods are packaged securely. returns will not be processed until the goods have been returned and inspected.

Please note that this does not apply to goods made to your own specification, perishable goods, or goods that by their very nature cannot be returned.
