| The Village Maniacs |
We are avid collector's of the Department 56 Original Snow Village. We try to set up a display every Christmas and then invite friends and neighbors to visit "The Village". We put together a "scavenger hunt" which gets people into the Christmas Spirit. It surprises a lot of our guests when they see all the little details in our village. This past Christmas our display encompassed most of the first floor of our house and contained over 120 buildings and nearly 300 accessory pieces, including some animated items. It's a lot of work but it is certainly worth the effort and the neighborhood looks forward to seeing what's new each year. We have a website for our display up and running now.
