Or would you prefer a 'photo of another geriatric??? Retired now for five years. Building a small boat I found out that there were several ways of buying essential items, specifically epoxy resins for holding the thing together and covering it over to make it waterproof. Eventually I found a supplier who sold what I wanted, at a sensible price and who did not discriminate when shipping to remote postcodes.
Trouble was the carriage costs meant small quantities cost lots more than was reasonable. So I spoke to the supplier and asked if he would mind me repackaging his product into smaller quantities. No objection at all. Now the product is available to the small user in amounts that mean minimal waste for something that has a shelf life.
I also asked the supplier if I could offer resin in larger quantities and if he would undertake to send directly to the buyer. Again no problem. This method means the the ultimate user only pays one shipment charge.
I offer the product on Feebay as well. It is priced higher there because I don't think it reasonable for me to stand the extra fees which would eat 50% of my modest profit. I don't offer the more expensive quantities because of the upfront fees that they demand.
BUT even though the price is cheaper on Ebid and I get a lot of views all completed sales to date have come from Feebay. So more must be done to market the offers.
The next thing will be a website and I'm getting (unpaid) help with this - time for some payback from junior!!!
There's plenty to see around here if you like mostly unspoiled scenery - plenty to do if you like outside activity - and for the moment at least warm sun shine.
Charlie is my cat (nominally) - in fact he's taken to 'herself', who bribes him all the time with nice things and allows him to share her space by the fire on cold evenings. We've had him for one year and he's family - thinks he's a dog and usually keeps our two setters company at least twice a day on walks. A great character, very patient and gentle with rarely a cross word.
