About My Business
Although I am new to eBid, I have been selling family clothing on-line for eight years and am a Power Seller with over 8,400 feedback ratings (100% positive!) on that "other" site. I specialize in brand name clothing for the entire family with occasional bargains in other categories like books and collectibles. 95% of my items are hand picked from department stores or estate sales and are the same quality I would give to my own family or as gifts to others. I spend a LOT of time in a few stores and the clerks know me well! As a result, I get the cream of the crop....often merchandise that never makes it to the retail selling floor. In general, I look for classic styles and brands and avoid the overly trendy. Almost all the clothing items in my store are New With Tags (NWT) unless clearly stated otherwise. Due to my buying volume, I am able to offer tremendous discounts. My customers are often able to purchase an item plus have it delivered to their door for less than half the retail price!
I run frequent category sales in my store and list new products daily. I do my best to communicate promptly and clearly, offer shipping discounts for multiple purchases and take great care with the shipping process. My philosophy is that the package I ship out should be one that I would want to receive myself. Of course, I am human and make mistakes, but I try to operate my business with integrity. I know the value of a dollar and I will do my best to see that my customer gets it!

About Me
After many years in the corporate world, I became a full time "eTailer" in 2003. When trying to think of a name for my business, I thought of our family business, the "Crown Motel", which my dad named in the 1950's. I asked him why he chose that name. He said "it's simple, people can pronounce it and spell it easily". Well, that was good enough for me, so Crown Shop was born!
When I take a break from selling on eBid, I love to read, garden, take impromptu trips, work on home repairs and spend time with friends. I also spend a lot of time studying e-commerce and how to be a better seller. And, of course, I am a passionate e-shopper myself!
