 Having caught the vintage fountain pen collecting bug a few years ago I had soon accumulated around 1500 pens at which point Ann, my wife, told me in no uncertain terms that if I wanted to buy more I would have to sell some so I sort of slipped into dealing in pens. Soon after I decide that I wanted to start repairing them, I then spent a lot of time finding sources for the supplies and tools that I would need, it very quickly became obvious that if I had trouble sourcing the things that I needed other newcomers to the hobby would have the same problem so Cathedral Pens (www.cathedralpens.co.uk) was born to provide a one stop shop for anyone interested in vintage fountain pens and their repair.

Over the years I have built a solid reputation in the supply of vintage fountain pens, their repair and storage, I am well respected on the Fountain Pen Network (simply do a search for Cathedral Pens) and have 100% feedback on Ebay under the ID of ianpwilliamson.

I also organise, along with a colleague, The Midland Pen Show, The Southwest Pen Show and the Eastern Pen Show. I am also one of the original organisers of the London Writing Equipment show. I am also a council member of the Writing Equipment Society and helped pioneer their very successful pen repair courses.

My personal pen collection comprises fountain pen/pencil combinations and safety fountain pens - sooner or later you just have to rationalise otherwise you'll probably go mad!!
