Some Information About bitTheory
We at bitTheory are passionate about tech, be it hardware or software. Just because something is old, out-of-date or even just no longer required, we believe that it still has it's place. This doesn't mean we don't like new shinies - far from it! We love getting our hands on the latest gadgets and gizmos the same as any other technophile. If you need that old motherboard to fix your PC, or a new graphics card to play a game, we may have the item for you.
Postage and Packaging
We aim to process and dispatch items within one working day of cleared payment (Monday - Friday, excluding Bank Holidays). UK shipping is usually offered via Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded or next business day courier service, both tracked and insured.
If you have not received your item after 7 days, please check the tracking information before contacting us as we cannot give you any further information than that supplied by the delivery service. All tracking information will be sent to the email address used in the payment.
For purchases paid with PayPal we can only ship to the address used in the PayPal transaction. This is a restriction imposed by PayPal for Buyer and Seller protection. For further information, please see the PayPal User Agreement Section 11.3.a.
Prices quoted for UK courier shipping are to UK Mainland addresses only. Please be aware that a surcharge for courier deliveries to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly and Northern Ireland may be applicable. This extra charge is imposed by the courier and as such are beyond our control.
If you are in one of these areas and know of a national courier who does not add this surcharge, please let us know as we feel this practice is unfair.
Distance Seller Regulations
If you wish to return a non-auction item under the Distance Seller Regulations you must notify us in writing within 7 days starting the day after the day you receive the item. When we receive your notice, we will issue you with an RMA number which must be visible on the package.
Keep all packaging when you received the item for at least this "cooling off" period as this makes it easier to return your item. We recommend using a tracked and insured service for your return as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage while it is in transit to us. Once we receive the item, you will receive a full refund excluding the cost of return postage.
Failure to request a return before sending the item back may delay your refund and we reserve the right to refuse delivery of any item without a valid RMA number.
