Some Information About arkvalleycoinclub
The Arkansas Valley Coin Club was founded in February. 1948 with its initial membership being high-school students in Rocky Ford, Colorado. The founder, Herman Boraker, was an avid coin collector and proved to be a dominate force in the Numismatic Education of the youth in SE Colorado.
Through-out the years, the AVCC has had over 450 members and currently has over 30 active members. Meeting once a month, there is always a scheduled program, and exhibits from members that are often informative and entertaining.
The AVCC is an active chapter of the AMERICAN NUMISMATIC ASSOCIATION and annually participates in the ANA's National Coin Week with a display at the local library in La Junta, Colorado.
Our Numismatic Pricing is based on several references for current trends. While we feel the need to share our members Treasures with others, we also feel the need for a fair return to our members. Therefore our prices aren't necessarily the lowest. But our proceeds are put to a different use that a business's would be. Our proceeds are put to use in bettering the Numismatic Hobby.
