Some Information About WringtonParcels
My name is Trevor Parnham and together with my wife Chris, founded Wrington Online World in 2006. I want to take this opportunity to tell you about us because, although I have been a member of ebid for a few years, I have not made any serious attempts to sell in quantity.
However, the latest actions by ebay have made me determined to do whatever I can to make ebid successful.
I am hoping, by reading this profile, that buyers and sellers will help me to acheive this.
I am currently a powerseller on ebay with over 11000 positive feedbacks, Like many people I am heartily fed up with their constant goalpost moving in order to increase their revenue, with little regard for either sellers or buyers. The latest being encouraging sellers to include postal charges as part of the selling price and pretend to give free postage.
By pure coincidence, at the same time they have started charging final value fees on the total cost, including postage. BUT, if a buyer buys several items, they, in effect, pay the postage multiple times.
For example, If an item costs £5 and the postage is £5 and a UK buyer wishes to buy 10 items from me. Currently they would pay 10 x £5 (£50), plus a combined postage of £11.68,combined postage.
Under the latest ebay reccomendation, the combined price is £10 per item. So, if the Customer buys 10 items they will pay £100, of which the postage element is £50!!
However, enough of my ebay rants. We have two businesses under the umbrella of Wrington Online World, Wrington Parcels and The Treasury Store.
I started buying and selling china and quickly found that there was a big overseas market for english china, but the cost of getting it there was horrendous. In a previous career, my job was solving problems, so I applied those skills to finding cheaper and better ways of sending items overseas.
I came up with what I call least cost routing and so Wrington Parcels was born. That is now the biggest part of our business. We now send parcels for many people and we have Customers all over the world who use our services for shipping purchases from the UK. I will now be urging those Customers to look at ebid as a possible source of products
Over the next few weeks I will be uploading the 300+ lots we regularly maintain on ebay.
Please support my efforts by buying some of our items. That way you, ebid and we will all gain.
I am still listing on ebay, so if you are interested in any items buy them before they disappear.
