Some Information About VandTnut
What is a VandTnut?
In this instance it is a steam railroad nut since age 2 who is now approaching retirement age.
It is a college graduate (CalPoly Pomona '79 BS Business) who drives a truck. Somebody who has run a family business most of his life.
A person who believes that personal integrity cannot be maintained unless you conduct your business affairs to the same standards.
I've had a lifelong interest in steam trains particularly the railroads of the western US prior to 1920. My plan is to model the Virginia and Truckee RR, a western short line built to serve the Comstock Lode Gold and Silver Mines near Virginia City, Nevada. The line ran from Virginia City thru the state capitol at Carson City and connected to the Southern Pacific Trans-Continental main line at Reno, Nevada. Additional modeling opportunities are presented by the narrow gauge tramways that served the stamp mills in the Dayton area, the connection with the Tonopah & Tidewater narrow gauge line, and the taste of big steam represented by the Reno, Nv. Junction with the Southern Pacific. Ass if that wasn't enough the standard gauge and narrow gauge logging "shows" of nearby Lake Tahoe. There are enough modelling projects here to keep me busy for many years. Who knows, I might even develop my modeling skills to the point where I won't be ashamed to show them at NMRA meets (Yes I am a member).
I've been on eBloat since 19mumble. I've been very active over the last year as I am currently convalescing from having been put off work by the actions of a drunk driver. I do a small amount of buying and selling and have developed a replacement driveshaft for the Rivarossi Old Timer Locomotives. This part often is missing on unboxed used engines so there is a need for replacements. In addition, my part reduces the clutter as it is translucent instead of shiny black like the factory part. I am working to develop a similar part for Bachmann Engines and also developing a solution for the electrical problems that Roundhouse Shays are prone to.
I have worked hard to maintain a 100% positive feedback, in addition my detailed star ratings are top shelf across the board. I believe in using strong shipping containers with the right amount of the right kind of cushioning material to keep shipping cost down. A big box full of peanuts or wadded paper may be fast but it isn't customer service. I will take extra time to do it right - - - ask my customers. Want to know more? All of my details are linked here, not only for me but also for a lot of the great people on eBid who helped me find this teriffic site:

It is my sincere hope that eBid will be welcomed to North America and that many new and prosperous relationships are established.
