Welcome to The Ginger Jar.  Our brick and mortar shop opened in Sturbridge, Massachusetts  in July 2005 offering an eclectic mix of antiques, collectibles, vintage items, specialty gifts and home decor items. 

We value each and every customer and strive to offer top quality merchandise, top notch customer service and fast shipping.

Payment:  For your convenience we accept both Paypal and Google Checkout.   Sorry, no checks of any kind at this time. All payments must be made in USD (including shipping) within 48 hours. Buyer pays all shipping/insurance costs unless the listing specifies otherwise. We ship only to the Paypal or Google Checkout confirmed address. This is for your security and our own protection.

Shipping: We will usually ship your order within 1 day of cleared payment.  You will receive an email with the shipping information for your order. We ship via USPS, usually parcel post/first class or priority mail.  If you have any questions, have a shipping method preference or would like to combine items to save on shipping  just contact us!   If the shipping cost is not listed, you may contact us with your address and we will provide an advance shipping quote prior to your purchase of our items. If the item you are interested in does not show the calculator or a flat rate shipping cost, you must wait for our invoice prior to paying.  Buyer pays all shipping costs and no item will be mailed until the shipping amount has been paid.  On some items we add a small handling amount to cover the cost of packing supplies and/or the insurance cost.

Returns:  If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with a description of the damage.  All claims are handled via the US postal service. Be sure to save all original packaging as the post office may need to inspect it.

We strive to describe our items as accurately as possible but if we make a mistake in our listing and you wish to return the item we will provide a full refund of the item cost. We do not refund shipping costs. The item must be returned to us in the same condition as when we shipped it, including any original tags and/or boxes.

If you decide to return your item for any other reason than shipping damage, you must contact us within 48 hours of receipt of the item and return the item to us within 7 days. The item must be returned in the same condition as when we shipped it to you, including any original box, tags etc.  Once the item is returned to us in good condition we will refund you the purchase price less a 20% restocking fee. Sorry, no refund on shipping or insurance. Buyer is responsible for paying the return shipping and insurance. 

On the rare occasion an item is lost in transit we may require a letter from you stating that you did not receive the item as the US Post office requires this in order to process a claim.
