Thank you for stopping by and reading my All About Me page. I started playing Magic the Gathering in San Diego, California back in 1994 around the time of Revised (3rd Edition) and the tail end of Legends. I got the bug pretty early and haven't shaken it since. I even did pretty well on the tournament scene in the late 90s, although I dropped out of the game for a couple of years shortly afterwards.
After getting the Magic fever again, I tried to play catch-up on my collection through online auction sites. This is where the disappointment began for me with trying to track down collector-worthy cards on the internet. You really can't tell a card's condition from a scan (if there even is a scan) and most dealers have no idea what mint or near mint really is. When I started getting into the new style of foil cards around 8th Edition, I was even more frustrated trying to find clean cards.
Finally I was fed up with buying second rate cards and decided to open my own online store. I figured out the best way to get factory fresh foil cards and made a little side business out of it. After several years of using a popular online auction site, I became tired of the ever increasing fees and complexity of the site and that's when I found eBid. It is everything the old site used to be and seems to appreciate "the little guy" a whole lot more. So now I am throwing in with a growing number of other dealers here to give the public a real alternative auction site. Since there are no listing fees I plan to list many, many more cards than I had on my old site. I may even expand and start listing some of my vintage non-foil cards.
