First there were cats-eyes from Halifax-now "Mirror Swipes".
"Mirror Swipes" are a simple, easy to affix, inexpensive solution to improving road safety. "Mirror Swipes" keep your wing mirrors clean as you drive-in both wet and dry conditions.
"Mirror Swipes" have been developed by two high mileage motorists, initially for their own use. They had realised that rear view vision was usually hampered in poor weather conditions, particularly noticeable when joining and leaving motorways.
"Mirror Swipes" immediately improve vital rear view vision giving that extra degree of safety and confidence whilst overtaking and carrying out many other road manoeuvres. All in all "Mirror Swipes" result in greater driver awareness and less driver fatigue.
Most of us - high mileage motorists - have noticed a small proportion of truck and vans with "rags" tied to the wing mirrors;and much credit must be given to the first driver who stumbled upon this theory...perhaps by a piece of cloth getting entangled in the mirror frame-work and being blown against the mirror surface by the wind (air turbulence).
However, It became apparent that these "rags" - apart from being unattractive - were not the "be all and end all" in keeping wing mirrors clean.
"Mirror Swipes" had to be designed to suit most vehicles of high mileage motorists. They had to look clean and presentable; but above all, "Mirror Swipes"had to perform reliably in both wet and dry conditions - unlike most rags!.
It has taken 18 months of development to arrive at the present product.However, "Mirror Swipes" are committed to even further developments and improvements.
