Some Information About August1
Hello, and thanks for checking up on me! I'm new to eBid but not totally new to on-line business, so please have confidence in our dealings as my ratings have always been 100 per cent positive and we will always make sure you are satisfied, first and foremost.
Over the years, Helen and I have dabbled in about almost everything, from antiques de jour to photography to road racing to you-name-it, and have acquired some interesting collections, most of with which we have a hard time parting. But it became evident that things, prized possessions, etc., should go. So, we got on-line, back in 2005.
When we started selling on-line, it was a long struggle to find a niche. But then, as these things often go, it fell in our lap, Pfaltzgraff. The local Pfaltzgraff store was liquidating, so we bit the bullet and jumped in with both feet and purchased as much of their inventory as possible (some 5 or 6 stuffed-to-the-gills SUV trips' worth!) And then we started posting, and posting, and then got an on-line store, and posted some more.
Thankfully, like the movie, we built it and they came. So here we are, still posting.
And I kinda like the feel of this site... It's simple, with a pretty much level playing field and very reasonable fees.
Fees! That, of course, is the reason I have been shopping around. I told Helen we needed additional sales sites, additional exposure, and additional means of bringing great products at reduced prices to like minded consumers. We bought right, low, and feel that if we sell right, everyone will benefit. (But, no, I am not a Democrat...)
