Seller's Description
This is a male Geisha doll from the 1950s in Japan. Every village has their own style of dolls.the provenience is a friends sister in laws father was in japan during the occupation after 1945 where he met his Japanese wife. They would return every and collected these dolls. The parents have since died so alot is lost about what the were for etc. they are not reproductions , they held a special place in the house and were well take care of.they look like the day they were purchased. He is 9.5 in h, 6 in w and 3.5 deep. The material is silk.
