Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1974 Sidney Poitier Blaxploitation Crime Comedy UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT starring Sidney Poitier, Bill Cosby, Harry Belafonte, Flip Wilson, Richard Pryor, Paula Kelly, Rosalind Cash, Roscoe Lee Brown, Johnny Sekka and Calvin Lockhart.
At Madame Zenobia's illegal nightclub, when Steve Jackson and Wardell Franklin get robbed of their wallets containing a winning lottery ticket, they set out to recover it.
Poster art by Jack Rickard (1922 - 1983). An American illustrator for numerous advertising campaigns and multiple comic strips but was best known as a key contributor to Mad for more than two decades. Rickard's style was in demand for film promotional artwork and posters. Among his numerous assignments, he created the poster art for two Sidney Poitier films, Uptown Saturday Night and Let's Do It Again.
The poster is in very good folded condition.
