Seller's Description
Printed colour postcard showing a view of the Saunders-Row SR.N4 Swift Hovercraft at sea.
Published by Photo Precision Ltd, St Ives, Colourmaster International, No PT4327 (GS 707).
Postally used on 4 March 1983 with Southampton cancellation on light violet 15½p stamp and sent to Little Buddy, PO Box 26, Paisley, Renfrewshire. "Little Buddy" was a massive hoax, said to be the world's largest, whereby postcards were asked to be sent to a young boy called Little Buddy in Paisley who was dying of leukaemia and who wished to break the World Record for the most postcards received. The hoax, which began in 1982, is reported to have pulled in over 4 million cards from across the world, none of which were ever collected.
Fairly good condition, with slight corner bumps, with small light crease to top right corner.
