Seller's Description
This Made in Japan cup and saucer is prettier than my pictures capture. The handpainted designs are unique how the Iris flower opens up. (I don't see another quite like it in my browsing for an exact or similar pattern.) Note the tiny, dainty gold design placed throughout the large flower inside the cup. The contrast of the white outer cup to the black inner cup is classic-looking. Both the cup and saucer have a curvature design in the pattern. The outside of the cup shows the curvature more and the top of the saucer. I try to show this curvature in the assorted pictures.
Color: Black, white, gold.
Research Information: Unbranded. The mark on the base reads, "MADE IN JAPAN Hand Painted" with a gold emblem. Hand Painted and Made in Japan. Age is unknown.
Style: Footed teacup with a curvature design.
Measurements: Cup Diameter : 3 7/8 inches & w/Ornate Handle 4 7/8 inches; Cup Height: 2 1/8 inches; Saucer Diameter: 5 7/8 inches
Condition: Used. I have taken assorted pictures of the saucer to try to show you small rubbed marks. No chips, cracks or crazing.
Shipping (USA Only - No International): USPS Priority Mail, Calculated Rate (based on our two zip codes to give you a fair and accurate price. My zip is 88316).
Note regarding Shipping: I state to allow two (2) days for shipping. However, my normal turnaround, after payment has cleared, is one (1) day shipping or same day shipping if time allows to get to the Post Office on time. 50 cents extra is added to cover the cost of the packing materials to prevent damage in shipping.
