Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1952 Gottfried Reinhardt Drama INVITATION, based on the short story "R.S.V.P." by Jerome Weidman and starring Van Johnson, Dorothy McGuire, Ruth Roman, Louis Calhern, Ray Collins, Michael Chekhov, Lisa Golm, Diane Cassidy, Stapleton Kent, Barbara Ruick, Norman Field, Matt Moore, Pat Conway, Alex Gerry and Lucille Curtis.
Always believing she had a happy marriage, a young wife's trust in her husband is shaken when she discovers that her father had paid him to marry her.
The poster is in very good folded condition with minor fold separation repaired from the reverse with archival conservation tape and a small hole at the top cross fold.
