And this is the ONLY POSSIBLE WAY to up-grade the software in a Fostex VF160 recorder that has any version lower than version 1.10... It can not be done with a CD drive nor a Jaz drive... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fostex VF16/VF160 SOFTWARE UP-GRADE KIT... Do so much more with your Fostex VF16 recorder by up-grading the internal software to the highest available version 3.13... It will basically turn your VF16 machine into a VF160 machine, giving it all the main features of a VF160, (with the exception of the VF16 not having an on-board CD-RW drive)... Internal mix down, channel solo, channel pairing...etc.... I love the "internal mix down" feature... Mix 16 tracks down to 2 tracks via "internal mix down", then record 14 more tracks... Then keep repeating this process for an endless amount of tracks (with no loss of quality)... You can use an external SCSI CD burner with your VF16 after upgrading... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This kit includes everything you need to up-grade your Fostex recorder... And the zip drive can also be used to backup and re-load song data... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- And if you have a VF160 recorder with no on-board cd drive, or software version lower than 1.10, this kit will up-grade it to the highest available version 2.08...
