Seller's Description
Original plumbing trade vintage catalog for CRANE COMPANY. Main office and factory was located at 836 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL. Manufacturers of Quality Plumbing and Heating for every home, for every budget. Faucets with Dial-ese controls, with Temple, Embassy Whitney and Neu-Rainer trims. The bathroom styles, consisting of Lavatory, Bathtub and Closet components include Diana, Marcia, Drexel, Oxford, Neuday, Lahoma Groups. Ohio bathtub, showers and shower cabinets and bathroom accessories. Also manufactured many Preferred Kitchen ensembles, including sink and cabinets. Water heaters, gas boilers, radiant baseboard panel heating and oil burners were manufactured and supplied. On page 19, Crane-Line Basmor 25 Gas-Fired Boiler states it was fully insulated with asbestos which surrounds the boiler. (Bears American Gas Association seal of approval). Crane Company is known to use asbestos in its heating equipment. Unbound from a large 1951 architectural catalog, this unique old twenty-four page technical specifications brochure would display beautifully matted and framed. Nice cover graphics. A fantastic addition to your retro plumbing and heating collection. Pages are detached and contain a small amount of residual glue on edge.
