MADE OF PYROCERAM APURE WHITE VITREOUS MATERIAL WITH A GLASS SMOOTH FINISH. IT IS 100% IMPERVIOUS TO FOODACIDS AND STAINING. CORNING WARE FROM THE DAY IT WAS SOLD IN 1957, WAS MADE FOR THE STOVETOP, OVEN, MICROWAVE, DISHWASHER, REFRIGERATOR AND FREEZER. BECAUSE IT WAS MADE FROM PYROCERAM IT CAN WITHSTAND QUICK CHANGES BETWEEN HOT ANDCOLD WITHOUT BREAKAGE OR PROBLEMS.
