Seller's Description
Stamped with the three towers trademark, B&G, curved fine print (which I cannot read), DANMARK, B & G, 102, and the letter P, the Delft blue colors of this Bing And Grondahl Christmas Rose Tea Cup And Saucer makes this set one of my favorite. The leaves and Christmas rose are carved and embossed. The ornate handle and solid white center add to its beauty.
Color: Blue and white.
Research Information: B&G Bing and Grondahl Christmas Rose pattern. Note in the pictures how the stamp mark on this cup says, "Danmark" not "Denmark." Founded in 1853 by Brothers, Meyer Hermann and Jacob Hermann Bing, and Frederik Vilheim Grøndahl. The three towers trademark was first used in 1898. In 1987, Bing and Grøndahl merged with Royal Copenhagen.
Style: Flat cup. The saucer has a nice curve for catching spills with an approximate depth of 1 inch.
Approximate Measurements: Cup Diameter : 3 1/2 inches & w/Ornate Handle 4 1/4 inches; Cup Height: 2 1/2 inches; Saucer Diameter: 5 3/4 inches
Condition: Used, in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or crazing.
