Apilco is and has been, among the best French porcelains made for the culinary professional and the home consumer. Apilco is made in Chauvigny, France, in the Vienne region by a consortium of French manufacturers. This a highly glazed, four-piece tea pot in milky white with a lovely blue Delft-like floral design. Loved by many for its ability to withstand heat and stains, this porcelain glazed tea set is free of lead and cadmium found on many types of earthenware and is thinner, lighter, and more durable than pottery.
This near-perfect set contains the lid, the first level strainer, second level strainer, and the pot which all combine for making the perfect cup of tea. Other than a small chip inside the lid, (which is not visible), and for which we have priced the auction accordingly, the set is in extra fine condition with no cracks or crazing.
Standing at 10-1/2 inches tall and measuring 10 inches across from spout tip to handle.
