Iris Cream Powder Brass Metal Compact
Round curved scalloped edge with pink, orange and white Carnation Spray flowers against a gold background
signed IRIS to the large diamond shape on base of case
Mirror rim stamped Made in England + Pro. Pat. (presumably, for the development of the ridged wall of powder well helping to keep powder pan in firm position and an early cream powder case design)
Mirror, clasp and hinges all in good condition
Case measures 2 3/4" (7 cms) across
Very little known about IRIS compacts, but this flower spray design has also been produced by Stratton, at a later date, so it would seem that they were taken over by Stratton, at some point.
