30s Sheaffer's 4" Pen Pencil Set Marbled Jade Green Radite Leather Case Note Pad

Made in the early 1930s, this pen and pencil set came in a leather pocket book and includes the fountain pen, mechanical pencil, and a notepad.   

The imprint located on the pen barrel reads  "W. A. Sheaffer Pen Co  Fort Madison, Iowa, U.S.A.  PATENTED in U.S.A. PAT D-78795"  It has a 14k solid gold Lifetime nib and the patent number on the nib of the pen is 3438908.  I used to write with fountain pens a lot and the nib looks to be in good condition.  The filling system is Sheaffer's patented lever filler.

The mechanical pencil is in good working order and comes with 9 original lead refills.  The imprint, located at the bottom of the cap reads "Sheaffer's  Made in the U.S.A. Patd 78777.

The notepad is intact.  Evidently, this was a birthday gift, as the first page has birthday greetings.  Pages 2 and 3 have some writing on them.

The leather pocket book is in very good condition.  It is marked, as you can see in the picture.  The only worn spots inside are on the pen and pencil holders, from removing them.  It is surface damage only - not worn through.  The darker spots on the fabric lining are due to the aging of the fabric.
