1957 Mary Maxim Knitting Pattern No. 477 The Skiers Boys Girls Cardigan 8 10 12
There is very little writing on this pattern, Just pencil marks on the patten as each row was completed. (see pictures)
This 1957 Mary Maxim knitting pattern is for a Boys’ and Girls’ Buttoned or Zippered 4-Ply cardigan with set-in or raglan sleeves with a shawl collar. The pattern is for Child’s Sizes 8, 10 & 12. < p> The pattern has a flip over section on the graph page, in the open position the pattern is for “Set-In Sleeves” and flip the page down and the pattern is for “Raglan Sleeves”
MATERIALS REQUIRED
To ensure a correct fit use only MARY MAXIM 4 PLY NORTHLAND WOOL or MARY MAXIM 4 PLY Cloudspun WOOL
NEEDLES: 1 pr. No. 4, 1 pr. No. 7 English Gauge — 15” long.
(Equivalent in American gauge needles: 1 pr. No. 9, 1 pr. No. 6.)
GAUGE: 31/2 Stitches and 5 Rows = 1 inch.
1 Steel Bodkin Needle for sewing seams, I Heavy-weight open end zipper OR 6 large buttons.
