Here at Portsmouth Past we have a large stock of old postcards relating to Portsmouth and Southsea. Our stock includes real photo postcards by local photographers and publishers such as J. Welch & Sons (JWS), Stephen Cribb, Charles Cozens, Reginald Silk, as well as postcards by well-known national publishers like Raphael Tuck. These range from local views, events, buildings and street scenes to the launch of old warships at the Dockyard. We also have a good stock of the fine detailed printed postcards in both the Portsmouth and Southsea LL Series. In addition, we stock novelty pull-outs with a series of miniature Portsmouth and Southsea views under the flap, and comic postcards with a local caption. In addition to our postcards, we will be offering old photographs, a range of rare Portsmouth books, interesting ephemera, Portsmouth art (including oil paintings, watercolours and prints), and other items of local interest, for example those realted to the old Brickwoods Brewery.
