ME AND COLLECTING

I have been an avid collector of  vinyl, LPs & 7" since the late 50’s and CD's since their early 80's release. My collection covers everything from Reggae, Classical, Easy Listening, Pop, Rock, House, R&B, Jazz, Punk, Funk, Dance, Disco, Heavy Metal, etc.
 Reggae, jazz, blues & rock are my passion.

I have sold on Ebay since 2005 & I continue to sell my rarer records on Ebay but because of restrictions they now have put in place together with the increase in fees etc makes it virtually impossible to sell anything from 50p - £3 anymore without selling at a loss.
My current Ebay feedback (5382) is 100%.

I’ve decided to try Ebid because of the nil listing fees. I keep my prices very reasonable  &  charge reasonable postage and handling to cover post, packaging and paypal costs. I do offer good postal discounts for multiple purchases (prices on request)

WHAT'S FOR SALE

Years of collecting means I have a house full of records . I have retired so now have time to make space by selling some. Most are in at least very good condition, some are unplayed or played only a few times. I try to be as accurate as possible with my descriptions and I’m happy to answer any questions . .

I no longer own a record player so

MINT:

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.

 EXCELLENT

: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

.POOR:

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
 
BAD:
 
The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
