A few words about us....

We live in a small seaside village in North Yorkshire, England. Hence the name 'Mersk Postcards', Mersk being a early 13th century village name, later to become Maersk and now known as Marske-by-the-sea.

I'm selling items that we no longer need or use and could be put to better use elsewhere - it also helps de-clutter our home. In addition I have a number of inherited items e.g. pre / post war postcards and cigarette cards. I'm happy to ship worldwide. Please contact me for shipping costs for your country if it is not listed. My aim is to provide a first class service and I'm always here to answer any questions you may have, so feel free to drop me a message.

  1. Yes, I 'm more than happy to send items overseas - please contact me for a shipping cost if it is not listed.
  2. Yes, I will combine multiple items purchased to save on postage costs.
  3. P&P charges are based on cost only i.e. the cost of packaging and stamps.  I do not intend to a make a profit from postage.  All items are weighed carefully in advance to calculate the postage cost.  If my estimate is wrong I always refund the difference.
  4. If you have any questions or requests for items please contact me.
  5. I always check my items carefully and provide a condition description.  If you are unhappy with what you receive I will provide a full refund.
  6. All items are carefully packaged.  For example postcards and photographs are sent protected in board backed envelopes clearly labelled 'Please Do Not Bend'.
  7. I aim to send items within 24 hours of payment and do visit the post office daily, except during holidays which I will announce in advance.
